Gladys was a long-time supporter of the RNLI -working with her aunt and cousin during lifeboat week in Porthdinllaen. In December 2000 she was awarded a certificate of thanks from the Chairman in recognition of her support. During her final holiday in Suffolk last year she was thrilled to see the Aldeburgh lifeboat being launched. It was her wish that donations should be made to the RNLI in her memory.
